Twice the Fun | Middle Tennessee Baby Family Photographer

Earlier this month I finally got to meet my twim baby cousins, Clara and Laurel. They live in Chattanooga, but were in for the weekend.  So I spent the afternoon with them and their mom and dad.

Heath and did dad picked out the perfect spot on a hay farm they work on the Elk River.

For those of you who may not be familiar with the area, this is very near to the spot where Davy Crockett once lived.  He hunted and fished these banks.

This next one just melts my heart.  I think every little girl should have an image like this of her with her daddy.  So precious.

It's so obvious that Heath adores his girls. And it is unreal how much they look like he did when he was a baby.

It's obvious he loves their mommy, too!

We finished up with the girls dipping their feet in the river for the first time.

And then it was time to say goodbye.

I hope it's not another 6 months before I get to see them!

Heath and Blair, it was so good to see y'all.  The girls are precious.  They are two lucky girls to have the two of you for parents. Love ya!

Product Spotlight - Sugar & Spice Album.

I've put together a lot of coffee table albums.  I've loved them all, but this may be my favorite. At least for the girls it is.

Introducing the Sugar & Spice Album.

It can feature up to 19 images from your session.

The pages are hinged so that they lay flat.

The pages are also UV coated.

This album is available in either 8x8 or 10x10.  The one shown here is an 8x8.

All my albums come beautifully packaged.

Coffee table albums are an affordable way to showcase many images from your session.  They are sure to be treasured for years to come.

The Sweetest Family | Fayetteville Tennessee Family Photographer

You might remember Evelyn Gray from her 3 month session.  Her mom chose to take advantage of my Baby's First Year plan, so that means I get to take her portraits four times this year! For her 6 month session Jessica wanted to do some family shots. For the location we chose the farm of a mutual friend. I've had lots of sessions there in the past, but I found a new spot that I absolutely love. You'll see what I mean.

Eli met us there after work, so while we were waiting on him we played in the porch swing. Jessica had brought along her mother's baby quilt and it made the perfect backdrop.

Then we headed to my new favorite spot.

She's a country girl. ;-)

I always love getting to spend time with them.  This day as no different. I'm already looking forward to her 9 month session!

Evelyn Gray at 3 months | Fayetteville Tennessee Baby Photographer

I just realized that I never shared the rest of Evelyn Gray's 3 month session.  This was just the best morning.  Getting to spend the morning with her and her mommy.

This is one of my favorites.  I have many.

This is also a favorite. Like I said, I have many.

It's obvious that Sandy adores Miss Evelyn Gray.

After spending some time relaxing in the nursery, we got dressed up for a few shots.  I couldn't believe how strong she was!

And then we got comfy again. She was such a nosy rosy in this one.  I was trying to get a shot of the top of her sweet head, but she just had to know what I was doing!

Peekaboo!

And a storyboard of some of my favorite Mommy images.

And if you would like to see more images.  Here is her slideshow.

I am already looking forward to her 6 month session!

Cori at 6 months | Southern Middle Fayetteville Tennessee Baby Photographer

Sweet, sweet Cori.  I have been photographing her brother Cooper for a couple years now.  Cori joined the family last year and this is already her third time to come see me.  There are so many more options now that she is a big girl and can sit up all by herself.  Her mom took advantage of my Valentine mini-session last weekend and used them for her 6 months portraits. Such a happy, happy girl that you wouldn't guess she had been to the doctor's office that morning to get a shot for her horrible ear infection that she just couldn't seem to get rid of. So enough of my babbling!  Let's get to the good stuff!

These were 6-month photos, but we did some Valentine shots, too.

Couldn't you just eat her up?!

Kate at 6 months | Franklin, Tennessee Baby Photographer

You might remember Kate from her newborn session.

Well, fast forward 6 months.

She's now sitting up and laughing.  A big girl!  Isn't it just amazing how quickly they grow and change?!

Her mom invited me back to their home for Kate's 6-month photos.  I was so excited.  I just love Franklin, and to get to spend the morning with Kate.  It was a perfect day in my mind!

Kate's dad had gone to the market that morning and picked up some pumpkins for us. Kate was more interested in her shoes.

We moved around a bit in their backyard, and we ended up in their neighbor's backyard.  They weren't at home, but I'm sure they would have minded Kate taking a little nap on their swing.

How sweet is this?  Her Great-Grandmother's quilt.

We tried these bloomers for her newborn shoot, but they fit much better now.

I love this one of her with her duckie.  We pulled it out after she was asleep, but I still love this one.

Such a sweetie.

I'm so thankful to get to watch this little one grow!

Celebrating Tucker's 1st Birthday | Southern Tennessee Baby Photographer

I recently got to join in the cutest 1st birthday celebration!  It was a gorgeous September day, and Tucker's parents inviited their family and friends for a cookout to celebrate.

Of course every birthday boy needs the perfect hat.

and the perfect shoes.

Everything was adorable.  Especially the candy display!

Another fantastic cake by the talented Carla Gault.

And what't a party without a little cake smash?

Happy birthday, Tucker!!!

Baby Kate | Nashville Middle Tennessee Newborn Photographer

I have been trying to get caught up on sharing recent sessions.  I am so far behind. I am trying to do better though.  When I started looking back to see which sessions I still needed to share, I couldn't believe that I failed to share Baby Kate's newborn session.

Kate's mom was given a newborn session gift certificate as a shower gift, and I had been eagerly awaiting for her to arrive so I could visit her.  I made the drive up to Franklin one morning after dropping the kiddos at school, and spent the rest of the morning with Sweet Kate, her parents and grandma.

I brought along some hats of my own, but she had this beautiful matching blanket and hat that someone had made for her.  So we just had to use it.

Have you ever in your life seen anything more precious than this.  That sweet little smile.  Just melts my heart!

Looks like she knows a secret!

How precious is that little foot hanging over the side of the basket.  Love!

Talking to Mommy. In newborn sessions we take lots of breaks. Some of my favorite shots are taken during break time.

Love this one of three generations.

This one was Kate's dad's idea.  Pretty good idea I have to say.

I had so much fun this morning!  I got to love on Baby Kate, and I got to eat lunch with my sister-in-law at one of my favorite restaurants in downtown Franklin.  A win-win!  In all honestly, I would have been happy to just spend the entire day with sweet Kate.

Kailey and Kolton | Southern Tennessee Child Baby Photographer

Today's feature is of two cuties that I know pretty well.  They are Kailey and Kolton my great niece and nephew. Miss Kailey is 2-years-old and is pretty much a stinker.  Her favorite word seems to be...you guessed it "No!"  She said it pretty much every time I asked her to do something for me.

It went something like this:

Me: Kailey, can you sit in my yellow chair?

Kailey: No!

Me: Kailey, can you smile for me?

Kailey: No!

Me: Kailey, would you like a lollipop?

Kailey: No!

So maybe with Kailey no means yes?

And then there is Kolton.  Six months and smiling all the time.

Such cutie pies.  Love 'em!

Baby Paul at 6 months | Middle Tennessee Baby Photographer

You might remember Paul from his session back in December.  His mom invited me back to their home for Paul 6-monthish session.  Our first date was rained out (it has been a very wet spring), so we rescheduled for a couple weeks later.  What a great decision that was because we ended up having the perfect weather on our second attempt. Warm and sunny - just perfect for bare feet!

We started out with a few Easter poses.

Hello there!

And then we changed into something blue.

We also brought his rocking chair out into the front yard.  This is his serious look.

And this is just pure sweetness.

And for the first time ever, I think he sat in the grass.  I just love those little bare feet.

Such a sweet, sweet boy about to celebrate his first Easter

Paxtin at 6 months - Southern Tennessee Baby Photographer

If yesterday's little tease was too much for you, you need not wait any longer.  I just finished editing Little Miss Paxtin's session and could not wait any longer to share it.  She is just about the cutest thing I have ever seen!

She belongs to our dear friends Brian and Stephanie.  Stephanie asked if we could come over one day and have a little 6-months shoot for Paxtin.  Since they are some of our favorite people and she is one of our favorite babies how could we say no?!

Could you not just eat her up?!

I have to mention that Brian and Stephanie have the most amazing natural light in their house.  I was so jealous.  Stephanie decorated their home with bold paint colors and it made the perfect backdrop for our shoot!

Stephanie and Brian are Auburn graduates.  Stephanie made a little blue and orange tutu for Paxtin. Pretty cute even if it is the wrong colors. ;-)

And if you haven't already had more sweetness than you can stand...

Now if you could have just seen what was going on behind the scenes.  Imagine four adults doing everything but standing on their heads for one little princess.  I know we looked crazy! I think it was all worth it though! Love me some Paxtin!

Baby Daniel - Southern Tennessee Baby Photographer

I have let too much time go by without posting Sweet baby Daniel's session.  Seeing him week after week at church I cannot believe how big he has already gotten! Of course it was just a couple months ago when we had his session.  It's just amazing how quickly they grow!

He was wide awake almost the entire time I was there.  He's already a busy boy, but what could you expect with three older brothers?!

Yes, I said three older brothers! Andy, David, Michael and now Daniel. They are such sweet boys.  My sweet friend Celeste said that she was really enjoying her days alone with Daniel.  All the other boys were in school the day I was there, and she said it was almost like he was the first child during the day. I know it allowed for some wonderful bonding.

I love moments like this.

And this...

And especially this...

Celeste is truly one of the most beautiful people I know.  Everyone who knows her is truly blessed. Probably the most blessed are her husband, Jim, and their four sons.  A beautiful mother raising a beautiful family.  Every family should be so lucky.

Harper at 2 weeks = Southern Tennessee Newborn Photographer

Sweet, sweet baby Harper.  This little girl will always be special to me. After she had been home for a couple weeks I went to visit her for a little photo shoot.

When I walked in I knew we had to do something in front of these doors.

Is she not precious?!

And a few with her hat...

She's sure to have a great sense of style just like here mom!

Love her little grin in this one.  She may have been laughing at us.  She had managed to wet every blanket we put her on!  Little stinker!

But I still love her and always will.

I'm sure she will always be one of my favorite models. :-) Love that girl!
